I could listen to Wade Bowen sing all day long. He has such a good voice and it just doesn’t match the rest of him, you’d never put his voice together with him.
This song is really lyrically powerful for me. I think some of the simplicity of the lyrics make it as powerful as it is. “Why can’t you love me/why can’t you just be my girl/why’s it all gotta be so complicated if you really love someone?” The thoughts you feel, but maybe don’t express are simply stated in this song. It’s really something special.
